The heading is itself amazing. Light touches. How does it touch? Like touché? A non-tactile amour. But also it can be the language of a painter. The light touch, instead of a broad grasping stroke.
Yet the photographs articulate the heading best. The strokes of light, of the delicate touching (The equivalent of "I was deeply touched by your gesture from afar"), as emanation of the objects. The camera, the light, the objects and the eye in commune. Amazing!
As usual the objects are mostly abstracted, either through focus or through framing.
Thanks for your nice comments. I've used 'light touches' as a title before - I suspect it's a bit of a theme, precisely for the multiple ways of interpreting it that you've stated. Did you ask me what the blue object is? Do you mean the multicoloured thing in the foreground? It's a big piece of shiny plastic paper that I scrumpled up. I like how it catches the light, in all the colours.
haven't looked at this in ages. good stuff as always. BC
