Tribute/Tributary

In a discussion this evening I was reminded of an image I took in Greece, 2008, and how I had been thinking of Eva Hesse when I had composed it.

It's nice to see it again.

  1. In this image I cannot help thinking about the form of a machine that is not yet. But may be because I've seen those images below and read about your thesis. "The moss growing on the turbine leaves", Adorno pointed to something like that to make us think our relation to technology, perhaps intended to keep distance from "Question On Technology". You have been working on this aspect of aesthetic for some time now? I remember the Zizek video you posted, "we must find beauty in trash"?
There is the aesthetic of the working of a machine itself. The individuation of a machine is something else (Simondon, Deleuze). But how a particular machine does things as opposed to another, the sensations coming from it. The language C works differently from LISP, for example.
Anyway, glad you are back. Follow me back on twitter.
